Badgerfest.com is now running the very latest version of
Invision Power Board. It appears that there are a handful of new features and a slightly uglier default skin.
I'll be polishing up the skin over the next week (when I am not busy becoming a doctor), so expect a few minor errors. If you have any problems, list them in this thread.
I feel like I'm visiting a newborn...you know when you go, "Ahhhhh isn't it....really really ugly?"
Ahem, keep up the good work doc.

Nurse, the screens!
I appear to have to log in each visit once again, what to do to solve this?
Pete I will soon need to get the IPB software again as I have lost it again and when I try and find it, it always wants me to buy something first.
Is this copy blatantly ripped off or am I missing something really stupid.

There were some problems with the cookie settings; they have now been solved.

IPB is no longer available as a free download, but fortunately, I was able to snag a copy before the change in policy.

When you click on 'Everything' at the top of the page to get back to all forums, the columns are a bit fecked. No such problem if you click 'Badgerfest Forum'.
Actually, while I'm at it, what is the point of having 'Badgerfest Forum' and 'Everything' when they blatantly do the same thing?

I've fixed the problem with the columns.
Modifying the forum script so it could operate without the 'Everything' sub-forum would require a significant amount of work on my part, and consequently, has very little chance of happening.

I have a new Badgerfest problem: Every time I log on I have to read bizarre posts from random insane people.
What can I do to stop this?
Yours Faithfully,

I still do, it stores the cookies, but then it seems to ignore them?
Any ideas?
I solved the issue, but it was a bit wierd.
Basically the site knew who I was if I browse to
http://badgerfest.com/but not if I went to
http://www.badgerfest.comThe cookie is being set as from badgerfest.com, and when I browse to www.badgerfest.com it must look for the cookie to be from www.badgerfest.com.
Wierd that it was only causing me an issue.
Oh well.

Has anyone else noticed that the Badgerfest clock is an hour out?
Let's pick the ball back up people.
On your "My Controls" page under "Options -> Board Settings" theres a checkbox:
QUOTE
Is daylight saving time in effect?
(If you have selected the correct time zone and the clock appears an hour out, check or uncheck box to suit)

Damn. I was hoping it was someone else's fault. Bastard.
How big can a film snippet be and still get into a post? (That's not the set up for a bad joke...but if you can think of a good punchline be my guest)
