Is it possible to borrow someone's orange sim card, text that 241 thing in from your own phone, give them back their sim card and then just show your own phone to the cinema guys?

If so you could set up a little stall charging £2.50 to all non-orange customers for them to have two tickets for the price of one. Given tickets are now a fiver each it sounds like a deal, and you just have to pay the 10p sms charge.

Or does orange do something silly like restrict the number of times you can sms in on one wednesday?

can you get pay as you go orange sims? just go invest in like 50.
outlay say £500, sell each ticket for £2.50, that's a full recoup on investment after:
£500/(2.50*50) weeks = 4 weeks
then it's all profit at £125 per week.
roll that out to 1000 cinemas across the uk and you have £125,000/wk business....and probably a lawsuit from Orange
