It's about time you came to see my new pad! The housewarming is so overdue the icles are forming indoors.

I thought we'd do a variation on the theme by making it a (small stakes) poker night. Pete may have been involved somewhat in that decision but after a holiday where we played poker every evening after skiing I must say I do enjoy the game myself. Now I just need to win back my car...

Thought I'd throw this out there to see if any of you guys can make it. Just got off the phone with Pete who said he's going to be around for the first and second weekends of march. Meaning either:

Saturday 4th March
or
Saturday 11th March

Well I'm planning a Uni Maths reuinony type thing on the 4th so I might be busy that weekend...free the next though.

i think my calendar is clear that weekend so im up for it... havent played much poker though so by the end of the night i'll probably have to sell my own shoes to win my watch back!

Thank you for the offer but i shall be preparing for a residential fieldwork trip with a bunch of sixth formers on the following monday so msr tartiflette is being sent as my envoy, i am crap at poker anyway, i am crap at all card games in fact, including snap.

Tip to beat the tartiflette....beer...but you should know that already!

Being in Cardiff I didn't think he would make it but given Tart's Herculean effort to get to Cambridge we'd better give Mango a bell. Does anyone know his number or going to speak to him sometime soon? Would obviously be good to see him - and to have someone with stupid amounts of money at the poker table!

In fact, I think I'll suggest that you get your Cambridge-dwelling arse in gear and get on to MSN even if you don't use it to speak to Mango. btw - just thought I'd say that, weather permiting, a round at the Cambridge Lakes is on the cards for Sunday afternoon for all those interested in a bit of fresh air (or a cold lake to drown themselves in after losing their life savings). so shove your clubs in the back of your car just in case!

I seem to have gone about this the hard way trying to call everyone to confirm.

Basically looks like it's well on and Cambridge is due to be descended upon by a good many of you goons.

Turn up Sat afternoon/evening as Kingol said. I mentioned 6pm but I don't really care when, we'll grab some food, have a jolly whatever. I believe Pete is aiming to get down here 8pm so it looks like you'll all start losing your money to me around then...

I'll get in a couple of crates but if you fancy brining a bottle of something interesting and manly that would be good as well. There's food places around (<5 mins walk) and I'll have some nibbles.

Thinking also (as mentioned) of hitting the golf course if weather reasonable on the Sunday.

Driving you'll turn left into Coleridge Road. Drive up, past a park on your left. My house is on the left, facing Colerdige Road and on the far corner of the next block. Big white thing with a pointy roof, windows, doors. Very unique.

For those training it it's about a 10 min walk from the station but I could pick you up if I'm not too drunk.

There's couches/mattresses but sleeping bags would be good and warm.
