No not me again but my brother this time! And yes to Jyoti's sister so wunderbah!
The dates are 7th-9th July in Srinagar, Kashmir. It is one of the most stunning places I have ever set eyes on and you'd be foolhardy to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity! So anyone who's interested write me back with your address and we'll send you a golden ticket...and that's not the air kind.
Yes there is all this fear of terrorism and sheeyat but honestly you only ever have a few incidents on the outskirts or in the remote areas of Kashmir; this is the capital and is swarming with troops. Every turn you take there's army officials milling about with AK-47s (I felt safe!) and we saw tons of white backpackers all over the shop. Also you'll be hanging with some bonafide kashmiris and a whole group of us so that's about as much confidence as I can give you.
Any takers?
Leaving aside the irrational fear of the fundamentalist (and the slightly more rational one of army men with weapons) won't it be a bit awkward attending based on the fact that you know the groom's brother? It is a little tenuous. That's gonna be my excuse anyway.
Seriously though I'd love to come but...I dunno if I'd feel comfortable (for both the reasons above even if the latter is spurious and the former irrational). However, I think you've got Pete interested; and it is once in a lifetime so I'll think about it.
Got any pics?

yeah but look on the plus side - you could grab a couple of goats, stick em in your luggage and flog 'em for a mega sum when you get home.....
Plus the beatles loved it there and it's supposed to be a stunningly beautiful country.
