Just in case any of you are in the slightest curious about what I'm up to when I go off for my three week training stints in Wales, here are a few photos of the place.

Here is Caer Rhun Hall itself, which is where we stay.

Sweet.

I was visualising a Duke of Edinburgh style makeshift tent in a windswept mountain bog surrounded by brambles and sheep. And then somebody like Mrs Trunchbull from Matilda flogging you while you calculated the GDP of Wales on a hand-crafted abacus.

The reality is somewhat dissapointing but I am glad that it looks like quite a tranquil, picturesque place and I hope you havent worked your way through every episode of every TV show ever made.
King
Disappointing.

Looks nice on the outside, though I bet it sucks when it's raining. Which I believe is not always in The People's Rebublic.

DanSon
why do they bother?
they should just rent a classroom in the local juvenille detention centre (aka Inner City State School 6th Form College). The community would benefit, the classroom would look the same and dodging those knives after class would be more exciting than watching Sheep, watching you.
Nervously.

What training stints? For those of us in far away lands who dont always know what you're getting up to...
RosieBear
i've been to that castle....i have definite memories of driving by it at least...
jonnyploy
It's Conwy castle. Conwy is the nearest town (about 5 miles).

For the hairy one's benefit, I'm here studying for chartered accountancy exams.

My God man! I had no idea! C/A you say....you will truly become the King of Sums 'that make you money' after this...tis for sure!
Sammyboy

Get you with your fancy, modern candelabra.
RosieBear
well i could add a picture of the miserable building which encloses the pupils at the school i'm at at the mo - but im not going to do that...instead, you can see a picture of the onsite pig - delores - and her piglets which have attracted international attention via the 'pigcam'. This is a cornish school so weirdness is to be expected!!!
RosieBear
oh and here's the view from the school....both the pigs and the view are much better looking than the school building and the pupils!
