Pete,
You must have finished writing something like this now. How about putting it live on Badgerfest for people to pummel into oblivion (beta test)?
If not, do you (/Woz/Tart) know of any decent lightweight wiki stuff? It would be fun to have.
Think of the possibilities:
- An easy to access summary of the book and film threads.
- A whole page dedicated to just complete randomness.
- Tell-a-story-writing-one-word-each games.
And last but not least:
- Sam and Jonnyploy creating Badgerfest VIII before our very eyes!
For those of you who do not know, a wiki is a page which can be edited by anyone. Rather than updates being added one below the other like in this forum, you can go in and change anything on the page you like and save it back again. We could see King and Jennie fight over creating a top 100 reading list. One simply cannot imagine the carnage..

Excellent, someone else to share the blame for Pete not completing his thesis.
Great idea by the way, though I'm not sure I like the idea of anyone being able to tamper with the genius that will be Badgerfest VIII.
It is a good idea; I'm sure you could limit the Wikiness of certain parts to ensure levels of genius.
yeah I think you can have a certain 'Approved Badgerfest Authors' only section. Jonnyploy and Sammyboy could create an certification exam which they will then mark completely arbitrarily, failing everyone who isn't them.
If Pete doesn't respond by the time he's failed his PhD I'll look into this myself a bit further.

Wiki wiki waa waa.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
I'm just impressed you managed to write a whole reply above before succumbing.
This is a really good idea.
Certainly we could run the 2 in parallel, forum and wiki.
I'll start some investigation...
Is Wiki like Wifi?
Melons! Melons! Cola Light! Birra Birra! Wiki! Wifi! Large Baps on a stick! Cigarillos! Bungee jumping! Cocaine! Post-it notes! Polo mints! Quavers! Wiki!

I suspended development on my forum/wiki/blog/CMS script over a year ago. In its current state, it is not so much a wiki engine as a huge security flaw that is likely to burn down your server.
I will spend some time over the Christmas holidays working on it. Hopefully, there will be something worth uploading at the end of January.
yes good - make sure that this has priority. you can fail your phd later.

make v0.1 just have plaintext. no html, no fancy equations (i know how much sammyboy wants to be able to write equations on an internet page though).
