Me, Suzie and King are going to les deux alpes, in France for a week.
The plan is to go for a week from the 24th of feb to the 3rd of march.
We've got an apartment for 5 for the week and assuming there is room on the flight, 2 more people joining our booking is apparently doable.
Cost:
We paid £446 which covers 7 days accomodation, flights, transfers and lift passes, but no food or kit rental.
(I think we'll need to pay an extra 15 quid for a half day pass for the afternoon we arrive.)
Give me a shout if you'd like to join the fun or want more info.
Apparently there is a snow park, boarder cross and half pipe:

Noj,
Your offer of snowboarding intrigues me, but I fear that my desire to fall down French mountains is not quite sufficient this year.

im on easter hols 6th april on for 2 weeks so if there's still snow and a cheap break available to the mountains then i am most definatley interested in going if anyone else is up for it. You never know the high resorts may have a good end of season? Great time for long days in the snow park and snoozes in the sun at lunch!!!
In principle could be up for it. Though 6th april is pushing the snow!
Last year we went on the 4th April for a long weekend - was an awsome trip.
That's, in fact, when I did my big upsidedown flip jump...one one that Noj is going to attempt to land when he goes in a week... ;o)
Noj, King,
How was the snow? Would you recommend the resort? Were there any good jokes involving cats or cows?
I will get round to a full report: in short good snow, bad weather (cloud), resort not the greatest - mainly as it took too much time to get to the slopes you wanted to get to.
No cats, no cows. Many large dogs.

They did, however, have a photographer sitting below a jump...
Just so that I don't feel left out, here are a few of me not landing on my head on the same jump.
I'll scan the originals when I've learnt how to use these new fangled adding machines and gotten over my terminal lethargy.
The images are being sent with the wrong MIME type. Firefox displays the jpegs as text.
Dan, any chance you could get your code monkey to fix it?
Hi - sorry for the delay - been snowboading.
ok - what needs to happen? is this a php problem? not sure why this is happening as we use jpgs elsewhere without issue.

I have never understood the 'taking pictures of oneself doing a flip/stunt/snowboard trick/skateboard jump and then looking at them' thing.
Is it just me? (actually I get the feeling Jonnyboy might concur)
You're very cool! We get it!
Also - how do we know thats you? Could be anyone in a ski mask?
End of rant.
a. Very few people take pictures of themselves doing a flip/stunt/snowboard trick/skateboard jump as that's quite hard to do whilst doing a flip/stunt/snowboard trick/skateboard jump.
b. Unless you enjoy doing a flip/stunt/snowboard trick/skateboard jump you're unlikely to enjoy looking at them. Probably 'cos it's just some bloke on a plank in the air to you, not someone pulling of a 'Phat Indy'
c. I am very cool but you don't seem to remember this fact often enough.
It's just the same as looking at anyone's holiday snaps really, just instead of standing in front of a view with forced grins, we're flying through the air attempting to show just what manly men (or womanly women?) we just happen to be.
Oh and I don't wear a ski mask.
