Thanks Pete, yea I feel really bad about not being able to invite you,Jen, Dan and Loz!!! However you are still welcome to come to the actual wedding ceremony, however that will only last a short while then we're off to the reception. (It is here where I am restricted to numbers) So it might not be worth your while to come all this way for only an hour or so.

Turns out i've been a bit of a dick and got in a bit of a kerfuffle....half term is the week before your wedding. So I will either be able to drive up at the end of the day (3.pm) or i will be able to have the day off...am going to ask tomorrow what the 'policy' is for days off in term time!!! Alternatively could pull a sicky!!!

Cheers Dan don't make me feel even worse than I already feel! There is only space for 10 around a table and we only have 1 table each for our home friends. If I invite more than 10 of you guys it will mean you don't sit together. And it will also depend if there are people who can't make it. So as you see it's all too complicated and beyond my control. Sam is the chief wedding organizer whilst I'm concentrating on my MSc.

On a serious note, what is everyone doing about accommodation? Would it not be sensible to all stay in the same place? Marno can you recommend any hotels? I am probably going to come over on the Thurs night and also stay Fri night.

suggest we get something near to the reception place which means we could go for a BandB, or travelodge on the m4 or a yha or something in the city itself which could be good if we are all going to be there on the thursday night?

I phoned the hotel, the wedding rate means a double or twin room is about 100 squids a night.

Havent had the chance to shop around yet really although it does seem that there is a yha which is about 20 squids a night in cardiff itself...which would be good for thursday night especially ..we would have to arrange taxis to get to and fro wedding and reception etc ..

A group of 10 (3 birds and 7 blokes) is 20 quid a day bed and breakky ... I imagine we ought to book it sharpish as we will be a relatively large group...

If there are less of us we would have to book independently..also...i dont know if they shove us in dormitories or what..couldnt be bothered to read the whole site...

YHA/Camping = dont fancy trying to doll myself up in my suit while trampling through sheep cack

Plush hotel = too expensive

How about a nice straight forward 2 or 3 * hotel in the middle of Cardiff? (as suggested by Jonnyboy). We're not exactly going to be spending much time there.
