I don't have any reason for this post other than I'm bored and Jennie tells me that Pedro gets annoyed by the fact that some of us post things on a site other than Badgerfest.

Being in a rather vindictive mood, I've therefore decided to broadcast the fact I have have been cheating on Badgerfest with Facebook.

Shame on me.

Anyone else going to join in?

I finally made myself get a facebook profile - mainly out of professional curiosity. it's a quick, slick site and the novely lasts at least a week.

interesting how they create new content out of user interactions and, as such, you are presented with ever changing pages.

still reckon i prefer the intimacy of Badgerfest.

would love you all to try both and share your opinions. It looks like I'll be creating a social web portal for the haileybury society and I want to capture the things that people actually want and use. badgerfest is obviously a great success story having kept us all in touch.

I can testify to the power of the bookFace.

Last night I went to All Bar One in Moorgate to meet up with 15-20 people from Lochinver (my school pre-Haileybury). It was mental. Some people I had not seen in 13 years. (see pic)

This was (mainly) brought about via the medium of bookFace. I agree with Dan that the novelty does last surprisingly a long time. And obviously it is no match for the festBadger.

However Jonnyboy, I do get the feeling that certain persons (Ween, Pedro, King... ok pretty much everyone bar us) don't like the whole reunion/digging up ones past thing as they find it too horrifying. Each to their own.

im quite open to the idea but in the past my hatred towards myspace has forced me to turn my nose up at any web based social networking online shite...

however, bookface seems to have a very slick site, and because of which, i've signed up...

I need more time to evaluate facebook. I will present my conclusions in a week or two, but this fact should give you an idea of how it is looking:

Within 24 hours of creating an account, someone named Jen Blake sent me a friend invite.

My feelings about Youtube, however, are growing ever more positive. $1.6 billion is beginning to look like a bargain.
