Sorry DB; I've already shredded my log-in details.

It's not just the OHs I object to contacting me (though I do) it's mainly that I object to the damn school bugging me: "I've left, you've had all the money you're going to have out of me for the foreseeable future so bugger off!"

However I understand others feel differently so I thought I'd point out that Dan's OH networky website is go and you may well get something through your door about it. If you can stand it, you could help a poor start-up entrepreneur with his fledgling company.

Unlike me.

'Cos I'm shellfish.

Come on Mikeyboy dont be so quick to dismiss. Surely even you wonder what Nick Finney and Jamie Goldring are up to these days? The larks you lot used to have!

Also may I congratulate you on a Karl Pilkington-esque argument with yourself.

Dannyboy - good work. Keep it up my son.

Haha thanks for the publicity Kingol.....I think! ;o)

As I replied to King directly, They Haileybury Society isn't the development office. Feel free to slam the door in the Dev Office's face as all they want IS your money. The HS is there purely for good relations with old members and to help them keep/get in touch with each other. Asking for money is not in their remit and from what I can see, Both Robin Bishop and Roger Woodburn, the chaps in charge, are not at all keen on referring to their members as 'targets' or 'prospects'.

Any feedback on the hailsoc.net site would be useful. It is only just phase 1 with very basic functionality. More fun stuff to be added soon / this summer. At the moment its just a directory/friendsreunited type thing with your profile and the ability to search/add people to your own address-list. Suggestions welcome.

The privacy functions are very strong. You can share as much or as little as you want with other members, refined on a per-member basis. It's been fun making and hopefully will be useful to people - perhaps in particular the 2008 upper sixth leavers who'll be invited all together.

It would indeed help me if you did register and have a look at it but of course I'm not going to twist arms.

Noticed you're on it Sampie - cheers dude.

Indeed, you're not the only one.

However I have checked the site out today and am now interested in looking a bit deeper, on checking the FAQ's there is no "I've already shredded my log-in details." answer...

Also, it looks pretty, top job on the eye-candy. I did look at the source though... tables for layout, you're better than that... then I tried this: http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&ur....hailsoc.net%2F

You do have to be a bit of a freak to care about that stuff though...
DanSon
Cheers Tart =) Well my developer did care a bit but I told him he had more important things to worry about. Like making sure it actually worked in various browsers. Ditto for tables layout. He has come round to the idea of table-less design but if it proves a pain in the arse he might stick some in.

If you do actually want your registration code again I'll get it to you tomorrow.
Tart
I know, semantics and standards are great until they become a massive barrier...

And yes, the registration code would be good. You've whetted my appetite!
DanSon
Will send it to you in a private message to stop these other hoons from hijacking your account to send love notes to swift.

I am now a member.

Dannyboy - your 'about me' info says that you were at Haileybury from 1996-2002. Shurely shome mishtake? 1994-1999 rings more of a bell.
DanSon
Cheers JB - have fixed the entry about me. I just mistyped it. Haileybury just FELT Like it lasted 8 years... =)

Thanks too Chris for your helpful feedback so far.
