Ola, since the forums are a bit low on spam, I thought I'd ask the question.

I'm trying to get off wow and to celebrate this I thought I'd buy a ps3 or a 360. The question is which should it be?????

I'm too at work to mock you John so I'll just comment that it ultimately comes down to games for me: I haven't seen any PS3-only game that I really want to play but I'd really want to sit down to Assassin's Creed, Bioshock and (to a lesser extent) Halo 3.

I'd still buy a Wii though - Zelda, Metroid, Mario Galaxy & a nice bit o' bowling. What more do you need? A life perhaps...ah well I'm addicted to Zelda on the DS at the mo so who am I to talk?

Since you have been playing WOW solidly for god knows how long, you probably haven't had time or inclincation to spend any money on the usual stuff that normal people with a life do/consume. This means that you can probably afford to buy both.

Alternatively, recognise that neither is worth what they cost and settle for a Wii and a DS. Let's face it, Nintendo rule anyway.

I mostly really want a copy of s.k.a.t.e and its not available on the wii. A little warhawk or ninja gaiden black would sweeten the deal nicely too.

I went ps3 because Suzie already has a 360 and I wanted to thrash my evil twin at cod4 on ps3.


edit: Also, it worked out that a ps3 + the bits I wanted was cheaper than wirelessing + buying an elite. At least at game anyway.

Do you know if there is a GOOD cricket game for the Wii? Also, is Mario Kart on the Wii and if so is it good?

No idea about cricket, but mario kart is coming at some point and looks very good so far. I think its still a way off though. Its allegedly scheduled for april this year, but I'm not convinced.

I don't have the Wii, we actually gave my dad a Wii for Christmas, for after sunday lunch gameage.


It's a really good system for the less tech friendlly folk, as they seem to love the Wii sports on it and they are people who have just got a hang of the internet, just.

Hi guys - just played singstar on a ps2. Absolutely fucking brilliant (the game, I was awful). However is there an equivalent for the 360 or Wii? Are such equivalents any good? If not may have to get a ps3....

Also tried one of those dancemats and that worked well too - anyone tried the equivalent (sing/dance) games on the xbox or wii?

There are plenty of equivalents of varying degrees of horrible cutseyness. If in doubt I believe Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour have vocal options if you can't be bothered to learn an instrument (like me).

Further to the above a new game for the 360 is out soon called Lips which is basically Singstar with wireless mics and more mini-games. It's slightly better according to PlayR.

Lips is also £29.35 instore at HMV at the moment.

Speaking of which, I got absolutely spanked online last night. For people who remember SF alpha, Dan is back in his pink outfit and some guy, playing as him, was kicking me in the crotch whilst using all his taunts last night. It made me very sad.

Ah excellent, thanks. I was having to switch to ryu and fireball her, which is not optimal. That and she makes me sad with her smack talk when she kills me.

I have become ridiculously obsessed with COD4. I just got gifted Kill Zone 2 as a presssie and I think it is the pooest thing to ever come out for shooters. It's sluggish and impossible to actually throw yourseld into a fight and kill anything effectively - its all hide behind parapets and zoom in like a homo trying to catch a butterfly with a net to kill anything. COD is a man's game and Im sticking to it.
