Yes - not bad. Tubolard would be proud. 15/20 (goes on a bit)

It's a good length

Yeah it's pretty good; it loses its way a little on the second page (I'm not sure you needed to list all the film villains, and I'm definitely not sure that Carrey and Jones provided even a dead-cat-bounce to the quality graph) but it gets back to it once you're back to DK.
As a bit of a all-round geek I think you might have mentioned the comics - Leger's performance is said to have been informed by The Killing Joke among others - but I think that might have muddied the waters for the paddlers in the audience so no biggie.
In conclusion you've got a voluptuous style all of your own Govi; just try and keep it snappy and don't lose sight of the point. Like I probably did in this post.
7/10

PS I realy hope you meant you wanted constructive crit. If not I apologise and I'll buy you a drink next weekend.

Govind, I think you could help Nojula by drawing pictures of the characters instead of writing their names and by breaking the text down into short sentences, maybe even considering bullet pointing.

On a more serious note though, I think it's hard to give you any comments at all as I dont really know what type of audience that web site is designed for, and to give true feedback in this instance I think you need to know who its targeted at first. But, your writing is really intelligent and you're a star comparer and contraster - synthesis of knowledge being a sure sign of a high order thinker and a high flyer!!!

My overall comment: 'Meandering yet engaging' wink.gif

Ladies and Gents - thank you for all your crits and booyas!

As a caveat - I was writing to a pretty specific brief. Mikey - they needed me to do a piece on ALL the villains so as to contrast within the special edition they were doing on the Batman as part of their newspaper - they wanted me especially to cover the films from the angle of the villains and why Batman seems to capture public imagination more than other superheroes. The insert had everything to do with the comics so that was a no-go area for me. I could have gone all fanboy on it and mentioned amongst others, 'The Killing Joke'. However, they loved it at the paper so I was pretty chuffed.

Without knowing the brief, it is of course difficult to judge it, but you've been very kind with the 7/10 despite the slating you gave it ; ).

I shall certainly ask you all to judge my work cos you're honest and that's only going to help me get better. Cheers punks and pink-dressed punkess! It's good to know someone's reading!

Wiki wiki wah wah!

RSI? Far too cool Govi. Keep it up.

(I didn't think I slated the article...I might have tiled a bit of it but no more...You see? 'Cos slating something is like tiling with slate instead of ti...oh forget it!)

Cheers mate. Looking forward to your artisan-ship on that one! Shall attach a scanned copy as soon as I get a damned copy!

PS - what does dead cat bounce mean?

I'll let Wikipedia answer your question...

Ah very good!

Well - Carrey and Lee Jones are the only redeeming features of the film. If you watch it again Im sure you'll tittle at points at Carrey's performance. Lee Jones annoyed me more than anything else, but hey...
