Okay peeps,
Tizzy is trotting off to lounge in Majorca with mates for a few days over the weekend of 6th Sept. In order to not feel like a total loser sitting on my tod in the flat, I am suggesting some sort of gathering.
How's about drinks (and maybe food) in Saint All-Bran followed by heading on back to my place for further drinkage and shenanigans. There may even be scope for some XBox style action given the absence of the Tizzmeister.
Then, on the Sunday we can chip over to Watford for a bit of TopGolf (driving range where you score points for hitting targets).
What say you?
p.s. of course, the female festers are completely welcome so long as they are comfortable with the amount of Halo that will be played.
p.p.s. someone will have to bring an xbox as i don't have one.
p.p.p.s. and maybe a HD screen as ours is big but not HD.
I am supposed to be at Luke Muir's leaving due (he's off to Oz) on that night i'm afraid. Otherwise would have had bells on..
Topgolf sounds wicked. Off to look it up.

You could always just rock up for the golf.
Hmm interesting. Pencil me in.
The sound of Halo and TopGolf intrigues me. Unfortunately, that weekend is too close to my thesis deadline.

I have updated the list of those coming above.
If any of you have preferences food-wise then get your vote in now (St Albans has pretty much most varieties of restaurant covered).
There should be plenty of spare bed / sofa / floor space for people to kip.

I'm actually replying... but I'm afraid it's a "no". It's Michelle and my anniversary so we're going out for a fancy meal in London on Saturday (and slightly bizarrely going to a goth club on Friday night).

Mmm goth...nice. Sorry you can't make it, cheers for replying though.
For those of you who don't know, my address is:

Rock up whenever you like on the Saturday (I'm assuming it will be afternoon though). Any thoughts on food for Saturday night yet? I'm relaxed about where we go or even if we get takeaway, so if you have any preference then now is the time to say so. If not, I will be making an executive decision in the next few days.
JP - as per earlier can't make Saturday but am going to try to make it on Sunday for topgolf! Sounds awsome. I may, if I may, bring my girlfriend Cat and possibly housemate and brother for the golf?

The more the merrier. I will probably book two bays (it works in a tenpin bowling stylee where you take turns and compete against each other).
Kingol: Are you still pencilled in or can I use the permanent marker?
I still haven't decided what we are going to do about food so we can wing it on the night. Any of you who want to turn up early on the Saturday in order to watch football are welcome as the television is unlikely to be being used for anything else at that time of day.
We have one spare bed, space for at least 2 people on the sofas / chair and I will have a couple of airbeds ready so we should be cool for sleeping space. Probably worth bringing a sleeping bag if you have one though as we a little short on duvets.
Unless you have very particular tastes then don't worry about bringing booze, I should have purchased enough to cover us.
I'm assuming that all those coming on Saturday night will be staying. If you are all very lucky I may rustle up some pancakes for breakfast on Sunday.
Bish bash bosh on your collective nappers.
im coming, dunno if em pie will make an appearance...
also, i do have to see my parentals at some point since the engagement... so i may have to duck out of the topgolf
who knows.
do we have a definitive list yet? ie have we persuaded pedro that his phd isnt actually that important.
droo? anyone?... droo? (in the tune of buler?...)
jp - d'oh just remembered Cat organised an afternoon lunch/golf on Sunday for her birthday so won't be able to make it I'm afraid.

I will let you off just this once Danson.
I spoke to Doo and he can't make it. From what I can gather Pedro is into the 'holyshitthedeadlineisonlyfourweeksaway' stage of his thesis and therefore will not be gracing us with his presence.
Sampie is now coming on Saturday night.
I have decided that we are going to have Chinese all-you-can-eat buffet for food. The major advantages being:
- it's within walking distance of the flat
- it's all-you-can-eat
Krang.
All you can eat you say. Well played sir, well played.
Do we have anyone reckless enough to bring tv/360? I'm a ps3-er, so can't help on this.

Oh, and you may want to bring a towel each as we don't have many.

Dannyboy you need to play this game son. It's the shizzle.
Pie - I am sure it was. Much regret not being able to make it down to see you all. As a consolation I did spent a pleasant afternoon on a real pitch and putt. Mark me down as there the next time a Topgolf outing is planned.

Thanks for coming everyone, was good to see you all and get spanked at TopGolf.
Cheers Bernard; especially for being the gracious host and deliberately not showing up my complete lack of any sort of golf-ordination.
It was great, thanks Jon.
