Roll up Roll up, take advantage of a grand opportunity to attend a snowboard/ ski holiday with me. I know you want to. I'm happy to organise so long as I get the comfiest bed.
Things I need to know if you are interested in a group holiday to the mountains - either Canada OR Europe
1. WHAT is your name
2. WHAT is the number of people you wish me to book for (i.e are you bringing a plus 1?)
3. WHAT is your budget
4. WHAT is your preferred location and type of accommodation
5. WHAT are your special requests in terms of transport type, dietry requirements, need for equipment hire and lessons.
6. WHAT are your preferred dates - don't say half term -
That's it. I am researching this weekend and want to book within the next fortnight, if not before that. I would like to get a catered chalet for a group but it all depends on cost and group size.
Of course. No one may want to come on holiday with me because of the er - well you know - the body odour issue. This I can live with, so be honest. I just thought I would advertise as I know over the past year we have all been murmering and muttering about the possibility of joining each other plank riding but no one has really done much about it.
Ta Ta.
1. Mike
2. 1 ( as my +1 can't afford it)
3. Not really sure - a cheap as possible obviously but I can probably swing it as long as it's no stupid.
4. I'm easy - as long as there's snow and a bed.
5. Nowt really
6. I'm flexible - I'd prefer not the first week of the month though.
I'll pack some nose plugs.
1. me
2. just me (Cat will be in New Zealand, Cambodia or somewhere like that)
3. £400ish flights and chalet + extras
4. europe / chalet
5. might buy some boots at long last....!
6. late season preferred. going on another trip beginning of March
Nice one Rosie.

It's a bit early but could handle it. Europe only because its probably cheaper - if you can get a good deal in Canada I'm fine with a long flight.

My Flow bindings have broken - the hinge that connects the lever with the power strap on it to the highback has snapped. I'm seeing if I can get them fixed, but if not, what bindings would people suggest? I'd want to go for Flows again because I find them comfortable. Maybe NXT-ATs? Has anyone got any advice?
Matt
Having done no more than than looking on their website, If I was buying new flow bindings, I would prbably get something from the "Flite" range or the "Quattro", but the NXT's are top of the range buy the look of things so would be a solid buy I'm sure.
They look even more comfortable than when I bought them, I like the "cut-out" design of the lace-cover (or whatever that bit is called).

Thanks Chris. Which bindings do you currently have?
I think my old ones were M9s (although I can't be sure because the decals have all rubbed off). They had the cut-outs on the straps across your foot too, although maybe not quite as much. Presumably, this is mainly to reduce weight?
The Flites seem to be more freestyle-oriented and, while I'm looking to do a bit of that, I think I'm mainly still freeride. Having said that, I don't know how much of a difference bindings actually make on this - I always understood the board was the key factor.
The reason I was looking at the NXTs over the Quattro's (or the M9s or the FIVEs) was just that they didn't seem that much more expensive (£20 or £30 when I searched online) but did seem to be a bit better engineered and (allegedly) more comfortable. Having said that, I've just searched again and the prices seem to have gone up, so maybe I will look at something lower down the line.
Cheers,
Matt
