Has anyone given this a go?

Essentially its group video/text chat in a virtual private chat room.

I've tried it with some guys from work and it works pretty well. There is even an iPhone app for joining in while on the move.

Could be great for Xbox Live action.

Would be nice to try it with people I don't see every day, but it requires everyone having access to Google+ (ie a gmail account and a few minutes to set it up)

Google Plus

I'm tempted to move to Google+ since Facebook is getting a bit silly, but I'd need some buy-in from 'the fest'

Any thoughts?

I'm with you. Facebook has got ridiculous recently, although they seem to have finally fixed the spam issue. The main thing preventing me from moving across wholesale is the work I would have to do to transfer my history (i.e. photos etc.) across to Google, but I will try to do it gradually.

I'll give it a go (if I can figure out my password) at some point i the near future.

- You can slurp your Facebook photos to Google+ (Picasa) via http://move2picasa.com/.
Move2Picasa is a web application that helps you export all your Facebook albums to picasa and share with your G+ Circle.

I know Pete has and likes it.I'm waiting on a replacement laptop to try it out. That said, I infinitely prefer Google+ in terms of filtering posts. There are just some things I know are really only interesting to me and my dad, and it's turning into a great way for us to have a chat that doesn't degenerate into a 100+ email dump.
