i know its a bold statment, but what about a big effort in drews flat in bournemouth for new year..

it would mean no parents etc, plus we can go on the beach at midnight which would be cool...

and generally a day or two of dossing in bournemouth with everyone around?

also, are there any more concrete plans for jonny boys aroma chinese ploy,

im looking forward to this as i havent eaten since october, so i want to stuff my face so i can go into hibernation.

we need to play system link halo at some point, plus 8 player gotham 2 could be good.

I almost certainly won't be able to do New Year if it is in Bournemouth, much as I would relish the chance of actually communicating with Doo for once. I have to be around Hertfordshire at a reasonable time on New Years day for an orchestra thingy so the journey would just be too far.
On the birthday thing, I thought Sunday the 28th would be okay, as the 27th (my actual birthday) has been reserved for family type effort. Obviously, this isn't perfect cos the pubs close earlier, but if we start early we can remedy that problem. Other alternative is the following weekend (Sat 3rd), which would probably be better if there are enough people around. Hows about everyone tells me when they can be around Hertfordshire, and I'll make a decision from there. My term doesn't start until the 12th, so I'm fairly open to suggestions.

Like i said my free days over this festive period are about as numerous as passenger pigeons (you know, the extinct ones) as I have 27, 28 ,29 Dec and 5, 6, 7 Jan...

General Agreement is that Bournemouth is too far away and a Pain in the Arse. Sam's house is free. Let us descend!

jonnyboy - just a thought - if you need a venue for your birthday you could always do mine on say sat 3rd jan. Historically I've always had my birthday (actually on 29th dec) on 1st weekend of jan so we could do some joint ploy on that day.

Or do something 28th or 29th Dec if preferred.

Or even do it on the 30th and compound the hangovers with new years eve celebrations....ouch. Either go back to Sam's or my parents are also away for new years eve...

Having just had my 21st in August (!) I'm not desparately looking for any big do but would be up for some nice small joint effort if it would make things easier and/or cheaper for you.
