5) Boney M - From the rivers of babylon (this is a family favourite, along with when the lion sleeps tonight, honestly, awesome)

I seem to remember a 'Boney M Gold' vinyl record knocking around when I was a kid too. 'Rivers Of Babylon' was a favourite, but it was overshadowed by 'Rasputin' and 'Daddy Cool'.

Classics.

All my pop music memories as a child are due to my mum as my dad only listens to classical music (and not very much of that). Rollings Stones featured heavily (and the Beatles, obviously), also lots of Motown, particularly Stevie Wonder and Otis Redding. The not quite as cool stuff included Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and Johnny Mathis.

Three tunes that I remember from my journeys to school in my friend's parents' car are:

King of Rock and Roll - Prefab Sprout ("hot dog, jumping frog, Albuquerque" - possibly the greatest lyric of all time).
It's Got To Be Perfect - Fairground Attraction.
Abracadabra - Steve Miller Band.

song called "Lady" - a song of undoubtable quality, and this is a band from hertfordshire who wanted me to play lead guitar! why did i refuse.

King
Ween, that is quality. Gutted.

Could have a bigger ending though.
TheWoz
it could do with a nice guitar solo in the middle 8, but who am i to argue...

Speaking of all this lead guitaring shenaniganry what about the fact that you ought to play lead guitar for Feedback at Marno's wedding for the Barnowl Reunion Tour - Fatter and Louder and in Your Fecwij Face! Marno will not be allowed to play rhythm until he nails Song 2 though - hahahaha.

Sammystar - support?
Sammyboy
Surely you mean Creep??
govinddhar
GODDAMN MAN YOU'RE RIGHT - IT HAS BEEN TOOO LONG!
jonnyploy
Perhaps that was the issue - all those years Mango was playing Song 2 when you guys were playing Creep.
govinddhar
Hahahahaha.

I don't think anybody has been so bold yet as to try and guess what it was Marno was playing while we were playing Creep or Song 2.

You are a brave man. Good luck for your exams bastud. Tell us how they go.
