Tizzy and I are driving down on Friday, but not all the way - we're staying at a travelodge part way on Friday night.
DanSon
I actually have no idea what night I'm booked in for at the hotel and scanning this thread didn't enlighten me. Tart?

Not sure I am particuarly well placed to give south londoners a lift. But if you can get anywhere reasonably north or west m25ish that would be convenient.
RosieBear
so far as i know dan you are only booked in for the sat night. if it boils down to it and there is nowhere to go friday my ma n pa are putting up a tent - with 2 bedrooms for 'extra's' - i have 3 friends staying but 2 of them will be in the house so there is a tentbedroom free! you're welcome to stay but would have to spend the morning in a cafe or something rather than in a snuggly warm bed as my house is 'wedding HQ'! Alternatively - phone browns to see if they have anything free on the friday night as there is a load of people staying both nights there already...
DanSon
Veeeery interesting. What time would I have to vacate wedding hq in the morning? =)

thanks muchos for the invite.

Suzie and I are heading down on saturday morning, so will not be able to give lifts either I'm afraid.

Well it's a small house with one bathroom - there in lies the problem! Me and the ol' bridesmaid and my ma shall be heading to the hairdressers at 10.30 ish (ridiculously early) so i would say you need to be down in town having a cuppa in a cafe for around 10/11? That way my dad will have access to the bathroom and some time on his own before things go wild - he doesn't go in for big celebrations so we have to give him 'down time' bless his socks. If we had a portaloo it would be a different story and you could stay all day. My two friends Kath and Cath will be with you so it wouldnt be a lonesome cafe visit!

The good news is that you will be able to drop your stuff off in the hotel and possibly check in early if you sweet talk them. Also, we have asked for rooms to be made available before check in time for people to get changed if needs be - rooms are en suite so ablutions can take place too!!! Check with Chris for more hotel details.

There's lots going on in tav that day - esp the farmers food market which is good - and you can go up the moor for fresh air so you wont be bored.

Let me know what you want to do so i can inform the parentals.

I'll be going down Friday morning at some point to hook up with the wedding party; I don't think this helps anyone as I live in Camberley and only really have space for 1 more at a push. However I have a room for Fri and Sat nights so people can dump stuff there and probably hang out if needs be...
DanSon
Rosie - sounds good to me. =) Count me in.
Sammyboy
Right. Plan is as follows for me and Govistar.

We will travel up Hertford/Cambridge way on Friday lunchtime to get picked up by Dannyboy.

There is one crucial factor riding on this though - Rosie, is your place (i.e. where Dan is staying on Fri night) in Tavistock or Exeter?

I am conscious that Tavistock is fecjing miles from Exeter so wont be convenient for Dan to drop us in Tavistock and head back.

Other than that it is a plan with no flaws.

I am pleased to say that wedding HQ is in Tavvy - if you look on the map its on the road out past Spar shop towards Callington..more directions shall follow...nearer the time!
DanSon
Rosie - could you call me when you get a sec? Just some last minute questions. Do I need a sleeping bag? Bed roll? Pillow? Tent? Ok you said you have a tent =) I have all the rest - just let me know if I should bring.

Can I light a bonfire in the back garden and dance around it wildly ?During sociable hours of course - whooping and hollaring to stop by 11pm. (yes, Dan received a letter from the council for hosting a firepit party that was too loud on Saturday. 2 complaints to the police!).

King
Nice one centurion.

RosieBear
sorry dan, i spent the last of my energy today on a job interview so havent phoned anyone including you - a sleeping bag should do the trick ol'bean...chris said he spoke to you so i'll see you tomorrow..x
DanSon
Hope the interview went well! What a time to have it!
Yep spoke to Tart and he told me all.

If you see this drop me a text with your address / postcode would you? I'm leaving now. Mobile: 07793 544 540

Thank you everyone! My wife and I had a fantastic day and I hope you guys thoroughly enjoyed it as much as I did!

Whoever brought the weather deserves a special pat on the back, as does King of course who did a great job ( and I'm not sure I've ever seen get so emotional... ).

King
Thanks again guys it was my favouritest wedding ever; 'twas great to see everyone even if I didn't spend as much time with the Badger crew as usual.

I'm not sure where the whole emotion thing came from (it's kinda embarassing) but at least you know the sentiments were from the left of centre of my chest unsure.gif

I now have trucker's arm from the drive home: Alabaster retard on one side, pure redneck on the other.
DanSon
Had an ace time and feel a nice buzz after the weekend - even after driving a total of 16 hours.

Have ridiculous amounts of photos which I'll get facebooked asap and also a video of King's comedy speech which I'll put up for private download.

Awsome to see all of you and I thought the wedding was genuinly amazing - suiting the characters of the bride and groom to a 'T'. So nice to see laughter throughout - even at slightly inappropriate moments ("...you promise to be faithful...")!

Enjoy iceland Mr and Mrs Walker.
