Mike, I was also going to bring the 3rd Scott Westerfeld steampunk book if you'd like.

Brilliant - that'll be great. I just have to remember to bring all your books (& Fallout)

Should I bring my Kinect?
DanSon
I'd like to try the kinect again so somebody should bring one please!

Pete - brilliant laziness.
Also bring your mini projector anyway I reckon - could use as a second screen for two players?

jonnyploy
Nice work Dannyboy.

Pedro: you never cease to amaze me. Sainsbury's is less than 2 miles away, but I'm still completely okay with laziness.

Kinect: yes please. I still have not tried one.

I will bring the Kinect Dance game. Just so you can practice imitating your avatar. I think the grocery thing will be a war between everyone's inclination to put things off vs our inclination to be lazy and not want to leave the house. I watch with interest.

I will have to bring my tux in order to fully imitate my avatar. Not totally ruling that out. Perhaps we could all dress as our avatars? Would make for an interesting look for Pete.
King
Jess has been actively attempting to dress me like my avatar ever since she decided what it should be wearing, so this will not represent a huge challenge for me.

I'll bring the Kinect + Sports, Adventure & Dancing.

Have a good time punks, we'll be there in spirit...

If we had proper broadband then you could be there by Skype, or Xbox Live, or both. Damn.

You have now reached 'complete geek' status JP, that really is the squarest dressing up idea I have ever come accross.

What's Pete's avatar then, Oscar the Grouch? Will he have to sit in a dustbin while trying to play? That WOULD be funny

How can you trust grubby little northern strangers to choose your fruit and your toilet roll Pete?
jonnyploy
I've added a table to the right where you can say what meal you will be preparing. (I've assumed that we will be taking it in turns, but correct me if I'm wrong. Tizzy and I will be going for the rather safe lasagne).
jonnyploy
Dannyboy: Tizzy is allergic to salmon. She won't mind eating something different to everyone else so perhaps you could just grill a fillet of a different fish for her?
Jennie
I've gone through and added Tesco links for most of the items. If you've got a brand loyalty issues, probably good to check the links. smile.gif That, and if you've used the "# of bags" measurement, I had to guess about actual amounts, so probably worth checking. smile.gif
DanSon
I've never cooked other fish before but I'll give it a go! Any preferences? Something that can be grilled. How about swordfish?! =)

jonnyploy
I'm sure swordfish will be fine. smile.gif
DanSon
added to the list. and noticed a desert effort from King and Jess so may rustle a 2nd course up as well.

King
We're just showing off...

As I have been incredibly inactive on this thread, and it's now almost time to leave, I just thought I'd mention that:

a; I haven't looked at the spreadsheet of food, but we haven't decided what to make yet so no worries.

b; I have a bunch on movies/tv shizz on my laptop media center but only HDMI out so if your projector will have it, have it.

c; we have a little 19inch TV, so we'll bring it along as an alternative for those not making fools of themselves in front of the kinect.

d; I am also bringing my Portal 2 so I can finally play the multiplayer - Pete, I'm looking at you here!

e; this list is longer than I expected

f; I have a growing box of alcohol for some reason, and it will be joining us, so far holding JD, Plymouth Navy Strength, Pete's Rum, Sake, more Sake and some Rose's lime juice.

g; I may make cookies.

h; I may eat them before I arrive.

i; am done.

See you punks later.
jonnyploy
Was good to see you all last week. Hope you enjoyed it as much as Tizzy and I did.

You should have all received an invite to the Badgerfax Dropbox folder which contains all the photos from the week.
King
We too had a great time. Thanks JP for organising.

King
I've had a go at a Google Doc (not sure if it will hang around for long or not) to work out a kitty to make sure no-one was left out of pocket.

So far I've only estimated costs for the first two shops so if people check it and add their stuff and it should work it out fairly and we can then see whether or not we care...

thanks Jonnyploy, for the organising and the photos. well played.

Also, it turns out that pete had a extra copy of MW2 and Halo Reach which I believe are yours. I have them now, so if Tizzy does visit us you can have them back then or just at the next gathering (unless I start playing halo reach of course...)
jonnyploy
No problem. I was just coming on here to note that I was short a couple of games. If you would like to hang on to Reach for a bit then go ahead. I am keen to get MW2 back so that I can get back into it ahead of MW3. I will instruct Tizzy to grab it when she sees you.

Also, I noticed that the Dropbox folder is empty...did one of you delete the photos from it once you had taken them?
DanSon
Hi JP,
I added the dropbox folder which promptly maxed out my quota. So I removed the share and THEN deleted the photos. This should not have affected your files but perhaps it did.
DB keeps backups of all files though so you can restore them hopefully?
I'd recommend instead that you put them into your PHOTOS folder and we can then access them via the web (you can share the album link) without having them sync to our own folders.
Hope helpful.

Mike - I did a mini shop at the end of the week for final dinner but have no idea how much and not too bothered. A lot of it went into my brownies and that is the least I could do in return for all those delicious cookies / cakes donated by everyone. =)

So tell me who I owe the £35.56 to and bank details please.
Dan
King
I'm pretty sure that no-one's overly worried Dan - I think if Pete & Jennie are happy then it's all good.
DanSon
Well I'm worried! Unlike you who can sit there all comfortable and smug with your clear conscience because you're also owed money. wink.gif They in particular are £150 out of pocket and that's not really a 'forget about it' amount.
jonnyploy
Yeah, I'm with Dan. I shall get my finger out and sort what I owe.
King
OK cool, that's why I whipped the sheet up...though if anyone wants to add their costs to it to make it more accurate it may be wise.
DanSon
Dudes - lets get this wrapped up. Jonnyboy - crack that whip on yer ass!
DanSon
As discussed at Badgermouth, it would be nice if we can have this settled within the year...

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key...ZU9NeVNRSS0zc3c

Jonnyboy - make up a number and stick it in!
jonnyploy
Okay, so I actually went back to my bank statement as I had no clue what number i was supposed to be sticking in. Now updated.

Natwest use those silly card reader jobbys and I don't have mine with me in the office, therefore I will have to make the payment this evening.
DanSon
Cheers JP.

Pete / Mike :
Can we please have bank details so we can settle up.
