Speaking of xbox360, I might have to get one. they do look the daddy.
the ps3 and nintendo revolution have been details..
the ps3 looks lame, and a bit crazy. 2 high definition tv outputs and 3 network sockets, aswell as wifi, and support for 7 bluetooth2.0 controllers... its all a bit wierd...
the revolution is tiny, as big as 3 dvd cases... but its supposedly only 2/3x better than the gamecube, where as the xbox360 is 13 times better than the xbox and the ps3 is 35 better than the ps2
imho
35x better than the ps2 is not better than 2or3x better than the gamecube.( or 13x the xbox)
...and that makes you better than me does it?
no, just this guy you know....

Sorry I was being a bit vague. You really want to flip the mobo and take the d0 from behind, the hole being much wider from that angle, also obivously if you have a v1.0 then the LPC holes are prefilled so a wire install is the way forwards with a simple 1- black, 2-brown, 6-red, 7-orange, 8 - yellow, 9 - green, 10 - blue, 11 - purple, 13 - grey and 14 - white configuration. and with a v1.6 you have the whole LPC re-build thing to do which is a nightmare but fortunately I haven't had to do one of those yet.

He's talking about sex isn't he?

Brian Lara IS the new Tiger Woods.
No-one has noticed yet.
If you own it they will copy. It on onto their hardrives and get round to playing it at some point...
I'm going through Second Sight at the moment and enjoying possessing people and using them to slaughter their collegues. Ahha ahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Ha. Haaaa. Frying pan.
I like your FMA av Tart.

Brian Lara Cricket is genius.
Bill Lawrie and Tony Greig giving comically bad commentary while you play on village setting and manage to get Simon Jones to score a double century in 40 balls.
What more could you possibly want?

a translation into American English?
I have images of drinking games and debauchery with that sentence, but I'm fairly sure that's NOT what you meant.
That's a drinking game I'd like to see...
Translation? Hmm. Imagine that if you hit the baseball out of the park you get six points on getting back to the home base, but if you merely get it in the crowd you get four. Then try getting 200 points by facing 40 pitches and not getting out or letting anyone else bat once. Oh and you're normally a pitcher so you are rubbish (Lit. - trash, garbage) at batting.
How'd I do?
splendidly
(oh, and the "century club" in the US is 100 shots (of beer) in 100 minutes, normally resulting in the players getting very, very ill--if not very, very dead. Or at least nearly dead. Its slightly more possible companion is the power hour--a shot of beer every minute for an hour.)

We have the 'Century Club' here in the UK too, but at Durham Uni it was called the Centurion, as in 'do the Centurion'. (Also not debauched, despite how it sounds).
So that'd be 200 shots of beer in forty...minutes? Hours? Days? Pubs?
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
I don't think I have sung the praises of PoP as of yet; the first (Sands of Time) was an incredible update of a 2D classic - good storyline, excellent running and jumping and environments, it was only let down by repetitive structure and fighting: run, jump, swing, fight, fight, fight endless monsters. The getting from point A to B was the fun bit, accentuated by the reverse time using 'Sands of Time' function.
By all accounts the makers addressed the creature problems by releasing a sequel with excessively fiddly fights and less of the good stuff. In TTT however, they've got it right; a storyline that completes a satisfying trilogy, plenty of running and jumping in evironments that don't alway signpost the way, disposable weapons, a dark alter ego complete with whip-chain and, most importantly, speed kills. You no longer have to fight endless foes (unless you screw up), instead you can take em from behind by pressing the right button at the right time. Double kills are most satisfying.
The addition of the Dark Prince also adds an edge; he turns up at opertune moments, allowing you to swing from lamps and mow down enemies with his chain while his health constantly degenerates until more sand is collected.
In fact the only sections that aren't great are the chariot bits. And they're short.
If you like platformers you'l ejoy this.

Played NFL Blitz for about 5 hours last night at King's. Re-established itself as the best game ever invented EVER.
Sweet Mary.
Also helped by the discovery of the 'punch' tactic which I used to great effect. As in - receiver catches the ball, runs for the end zone and if anyone comes near him, twats him in the face with the football. Quality. Also we discovered the replay function has been sadly under-used in the past.

Yes, I concur with that, as I'm sure King will too. Also good, but sadly neglected in the past is the commentary. Here is an excerpt from last night during one of the ten second periods at the end of a play when the aim is to flying tackle/suplex as many people as possible:
'Is that really necessary?'
'Yes Tim, I think it is.'
If real life NFL was anything like Blitz, I doubt I'd watch any other sport.
It's much less fun on your own...

I think I may have to buy a Nintendo DS just for this:
Trailer
OK; finally managed to rent two games; these are my first(ish) impressions.
Black
This is a FPS that has taken the trend for realism and thrown it out the window replacing it with huge explosions, plenty of ammo, huge numbers of enemies and large levels with lots of objectives. Oh and very destroyable scenery; remember the shower block in The Rock? you can destroy it if you wish. It is the most fun I've had with a FPS for a while; it's not about conserving ammo; enemies can take a whole clip unless hit in the head; it's about killing anything that moves and blowing up anything red. Gets quite intense.
The Godfather
GTA Mafia-style. Really. It's not quite as playable as GTA (it is, after all, an EA Games copy) and there appear to be less story missions but the movie background story and the fact that you can't just blast everything in sight unless you want to start a vendetta add some depth. May get a little repetitive if you finish the story and then try to take over New York...still interesting threatening shop owners and hanging smugglers off roof-tops. Also nice execution styles available; press a button and see your character blow a guy's face off. Nice.
All in all both worth the £3.50 I paid for them...not sure I'd go the whole hog though.
don't games get out of 5 star ratings too?
I've not played it but Call of Duty 2 (PC) looks fjecking incredible. I'm not usually impressed by FPS but this looked sweet on my housemate's computer.
cod2 on the 360 is pretty sweet. as is ghost recon.
fancy something different next so might get top spin 2 for a bit of 4 player tennis

Only when I'm done playing with them.
