On a related note - I bought a Sandisk 2gb micro SD for my phone and it works fine...with the phone. However, the SD slot adapter that came with is a pile of old arse and my laptop won't recognise it. Any suggestions / help would be welcome.

Also, anyone played call of duty 4....the online modes are deeply superb.

Hmm. I have an ambition to play Fallout 3 - an RPG with FPS elements - but instead of spending £130-£300 on a console I've bought Fallout 1 & 2 for £7 for the PC. Ok so the graphics won't be up to much but I think it will pass some time.

As soon as I bother to work out the friends code thingy. Mario Kart it is!
And brawl could be fun too.

God ODST was a let down.

a ) half the sodding single player is in retarded night mode,
b ) multiplayer is upsettingly sparse.

Trials HD: I've just been playing the demo, but will be buying the full version tonight off xbla.

You drive a motocross bike across a loopy/bumpy track using accelerate, break, lean forwards, lean back to try not to kill your guy and get a fast time. Play the demo if you have 5 minutes spare, its well worth a go.

It seems pretty fun, the main reason for the purchase is that it appears to have captured the imagination of the guys at work because of the leader board that shows your times compared to your friends and the bragging rights that grants.

Edit: I bought it last night and the demo doesn't even scratch the surface of craziness that is available in the full game. Well worth the ten quid.

I am fully intending to buy this too although I very much doubt I will be required in the way that Pete and Drew are. I do sterling work in a drawing enemy fire / cannon fodder type role though.

I have joined the ranks of Guitar Hero (World Tour) and have Beatles Rock Band (which is most excellent). Now all I need is XBox Live Gold and Woz and I can jam together.

I'm going for the 360 version in November I'm afraid.

Not really tempted...it looks like a re-skinned standard mortal kombat sadly and its just not as deep as the street fighters. DC universe online looks more promising on the ps3, but even that looks a bit crappy.



Arkham looks amazing and the demo was great. I'm holding out for a price drop though given that its going to have a limited life since its single player only. I had a play on wet and the controls were deeply shoddy sadly.

I'm just mashing my way to the end of uncharted 1 on the ps3 at the moment. A cracking game and for the 13 quid for a used copy, completely worth it.

I am enjoying ODST, especially the Firefight mode.

Story was good enough.

The new pistol handles well, but sounds like an air pistol.

Arkham
Also I received Arkham and Haze as birthday presents. Arkham is possibly the best superhero game ever made. Haze I have yet to play.

It is sicker than a swine flu ward at a pig farm (sorry if that's in bad taste). But seriously the things you can do (hang upside down from a gargoyle and lasso an unsuspecting mug to replace you, batarangs, detective mode) and just wait till you encounter the scarecrow - sort of like you worst kiddy nightmare watching Neverending story. And did I mention the flying around? Get this game at all costs. It is SSSSSSSSSSSICK.

DC Vs MK is surprisingly fun - cheap and cheerful, the moves you can perform with the DC guys are flipping awesome. It's actually a lot better than I thought it would be. I am keen on getting Drake's Fortune. Booya!

we had some tasty 4-player cod4 action the other night, all perks turned off, no sprinting, no airstrkes... old skool...

I'm so not going to get drawn into some lame-o console swinging competition with you matey - even though XBox is for gay-os and weiners!

I have to admit XBox graphics seem to be much much better. I got gifted the PS3 so am by default one of its bitches. I have to ask though - does XBox have all the interconnectiity with your PC and home entertainment system shizzle that PS3 gives you? Purely on a tech spec basis.

Old skool is the shit. I played a one on one with this dude in the abandoned lot place. Properly hilarious.

XBox 360 takes the piss out of pretty much everything the PS3 does apart from Blu-ray shizzle. Fact.

And the fact that you don't need 1000 AA batteries to get any amount of decent game time in...

And Blu Ray is pretty compelling.

Still - Im told the graphics are the shizzle on the XBox.

Whatever it is - Modern Warfare 2 is the sickest thing ever. The maps are ridiculously ridiculous, the weapins and does anyone else feel theyve made it a bit more video gamey and less gritty - a bit more like Halo, with all sorts of zapping sounds and MY GOD are the new toys amazing! And the awards- Its like you could fart and get an award. Most homicidal and things reminds me of the PS2 007 days. Most dishonourable Drew - most dishonourable. Plasma grenades - yessssss!

I'm loving my Xbox more and more by the day. Facebook, Twitter, Last fm and Sky all on the Xbox. I now never have to leave my bedroom.

I only tried Last.fm briefly but the sound quality wasnt great. It may have been my net connection at the time.

How's it been for you?

Sound quality seemed pretty good on mine, or as good as it's likely to be through the built in speakers on my Samsung telly (which are a bit shit to be honest). Could indeed be a connection issue.

I didn't notice the quality being bad, but again its coming through my tv speakers and I didn't have it terribly loud.
