If you insist:
Real Guitars - can't believe it. I predicted this years ago but thought it wouldn't be out for another 5-10 years. Soon every kid will be able to play the real guitar.

Okay so it's unanimous that Nintendo have won this year's E3 with their announcement of the 3DS. But just as exciting (for me anyway) is that appear to have decided to give us all our childhoods back. And by us I mean just that: the badgerfest crew. All the games we used to love and cherish are returning.
1. Goldeneye

2. NBA Jam

3. Kirby (okay, maybe not many of us were into this, but this game looks truly original)

Possibly the most exciting post ever on badgerfest. Nice one jp. Super excited about NBA Jam.

I can't see that at work but I can only imagine it to be awesome if you ply/want to play guitar...
Rocksmith: I'm so happy this has become reality. I remember thinking years ago when we had Frets on Fire that 'the future' will have something like this...and here we are. =)

Jonnyboy that was insane. And definitely one of those games that would be as fun to watch as to play. Nice to see people embracing inappropriatness.
First screenshots from South Park RPGQUOTE
It seems from the preview article that the game will take - and twist -plenty of elements from traditional JRPGs. There will, for example, be five classes to select from: Fighter, Mage, Thief, Cleric and... Jew. "The Jew is going to be our paladin/monk type character," designer Matt MacLean told the magazine. "The current design is that he's a high-risk-high-reward character. The closer he is to death, the more powerful his abilities become. So you're strongest when you are at one hit point, but you're also just about to die."

Red Dead Redemption
Why oh why have I not played this game earlier? It's amazing.
When is there going to be a sequel?
I know it's flippin' fantastic.
I haven't heard anything ironclad about a sequel but as one of Rockstar's biggest games they'd be nuts to to give it a swing. Of course there's the Undead Nightmare expansion pack which is sort of sequeley. You can borrow when we next see each other if you like.

What, attempting to play it while the glare from the sun made navigating impossible didn't convince you?
It is brilliant fun. I still require assistance when it comes to stagecoach races though.

Cheers Kingol - I bought the game of the year edition so I think I already have that expansion?
Sometimes I just enjoy riding around admiring the scenery. My brother tells me that shooting your own horse in the head whilst galloping at full tilt is rather amusing, but I haven't tried that yet.
xbone vs ps4... any thoughts?
Nothing I have heard about the Xbone has been positive.
The price, the DRM, the connectivity requirements; it all sounds a bit bollocks. It may be hyperbole but Msoft appear to be losing the PR battle by being incredibly stupid. Open goal for Sony.
I won't be buying either of them for a good long while though...
The price is a kick in the teeth especially considering the exchange rate...
As for DRM/connectivity/always online/used games, they are all non-issues. Unfortunately, Joe Public will jump on any bandwagon that drives around, especially when Sony stand there and point at it.
MS have been pretty terrible dealing with it tho... with useful statements like:
Q: Does Xbox One require an âalways onâ Internet connection?
A: No, it does not have to be always connected, but Xbox One does require a connection to the Internet.
Yeh, that oughta clear things up...

I disagree that DRM is a non-issue. I currently have about three games in my possession which were lent to me by other people. Not being able to do that is bullshit.
Honestly I probably won't buy into the next generation of consoles, but if I do then PS4 is clearly winning at the moment. At least Sony are concentrating on the actual gaming. Microsoft seem to be mainly pushing the "you can watch telly on it" angle. Big woop. I can already watch telly on basically every device I own, so cheers for that Microsoft.
I might just ignore them both and get a Wii U.
My friend at Microsoft describes it as a company with technical departments stuffed full with brilliant minds, crippled by legal and PR departments stuffed with utter morons.
I'm inclined to agree. They own-goal constantly (see the Office 2013 "Install Once" licence fiasco that they eventually back-pedalled on).
xbox licenseI think they need to clarify a lot of what they've announced. Especially this (taken from the link above):
Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friendâs house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time.
Which sounds pretty cool. Just depends on who they class as a family member, and how they police it...
Buy copy of a game between a bunch of friends and pretend you're all brothers. Or the Badgerfest "family".
Edit: yep that's how it works apparently. Great feature

May I recommend 'Horace goes Skiing' for the ZX Spectrum.

My Mum is currently clearing out some of my old junk at home.
Imagine my surprise the other day when she unearths a Super Nintendo STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX, plus all the games eg Mario Kart, all still in their boxes. My gast was well and truly flabbered.
Obviously I need to keep hold of it and test if it works and hold some kind of retro game-a-thon.
My question is: Who wants to touch me?
That's pretty special. Now we just need a basement.

A SNES I TELL YOU!
Must be before Jonnyboy's time....the young whippersnapper.
