Right.
It's well past the time I should have started organising all this so:
First thing we need is a weekend that everyone can (and will) attend. Some time in April, May or June. July' running it a little close and may need to be focused on W things. We may want to avoid busy Bank Hols (or not).
I am thinking of finding a place to stay which will fit all in varying degrees of comfort. Doing something active on Sat day, having a huge meal with copious amounts of alcohol, then go back to base and stay up very late playing games (for old time's sake).
Activities could be something like www.goape.co.uk , or quad biking , or coastering.
Give me your thoughts people. And any weekends you can't make.
So
April 5,6 Jon back by 2pm
April 12,13 Sam Spurs
April 19,20 Jon back by 12 pm
April 26,27 Jon's sister's b-day
May 3,4 (+ 5 Bank Holiday Monday) Sam Abroad
May 10,11 Jon maybe busy with Tizzy
May 17,18 Sam Cricket
May 24,25 ( + 26 Bank Holiday Monday)
May/ June 31,1
June 7,8 Jon Abroad
June 14,15 Mike London2Brighton
June 21,22 Sam abroad
Jun 28,29 Mike Le Man
Edit: I forgot to mention that, in a break from tradition, I'm thinking of declaring that Females are welcome to attend on the condition that they wear a false beard all day. Or a real one if they can manage.

May 10,11 - Her majesty has requested a week-long birthday celebration this year*

Gentle gentle monkey shavings - I cannot fucking believe I have been off this things for so damn long. As a family man and the occassional facebook slag, I have lost sight of this sexual of all healing fora for connecting with youse bitches.
I think you all need a bottyspanking. The ultimate stag party would most certainly have to Glastonbury. 28th-30th June with ample supplies of drugs, music, pear cider, mud, hippies, more drugs and the occasional acid flashback to a time when Feedback was actually number one in the sexytimes handparty billboard chart. I say we conquer the glasto. Mum and dad birthdays and The Man whoever he is are no excuses when it comes to the mighty glasto! Come on dudes - in the words of Joe Cartoon's hamster - WHO'S WITH ME?
And Tart - I know we haven't been in touch in like ages, but for feck's sake I want a chest wig invitation to the wedding. Have you set a date? I thought of you today while listening to Offspring's Americana - and Im hopefully seeing Muse this Saturday so 'JINX'. When is the wedding? Im planning to be in Engurland for Glasto and then till the third week of July?!
Unfortunately Gov it's on the 26th of July.
Glasto would be cool but there's the problem of getting tickets enough for all.
I can do any weekend except June 28,29.
April 5,6
April 12,13 - Spurs v Boro and Uni crew down
April 19,20
April 26,27
May 3,4 (+ 5 Bank Holiday Monday) - Copenhagen
May 10,11
May 17,18 - cricket at Lords
May 24,25 ( + 26 Bank Holiday Monday)
May/ June 31,1
June 7,8
June 14,15 - Austria, Euro 2008
June 21,22 - Austria, Euro 2008
Jun 28,29

Shit! Well you can't blame me for not trying or presuming an invitation! Feck!
Mate a huge and hairy congrats though - I had no idea you'd gone and got engaged and I had no idea you were getting married. Dannyboy just told me and demanded I get my ass back on badgerfest to see for meself.
Well I'm about for the first few weeks of July so we have to catch up over a bevvy or seventeen. And perhaps a j or two if company permits.
Why aren't any of you on mangebook?
Govi*
Thanks mate, of course you were invited, not sent anyone anything formal yet, but did raise an open invite on here...
The first weeks of July should be cool hopefully we won't be totally over busy with last minute crap... also we'll (touch wood) be in a nice big house with plenty of room for the odd hairy guest!

Just got back from Velvet Revolver and Muse and I have to ask - do you think Matthew Bellamy thought Slash or Scot Weiland would ever open for 'him'??? Fucking hell. Another thing - no one in the teeny bopping fucking audience knew any of the STP numbers. I was gobsmacked. Cocks!
Anyhoo - can't wait to see you all and cheers Tart. I was in fear of having lost love from the Hertford peeps shiznit shimmy mojo type thang.
Have you guys set a date for the stag at least? Come on dudes! Sort it aaaaaat?
PS - and is anyone arranging strippers? I bagsie that job. Who wants to interview with me?!?!?!

Um, that's kinda what this thread's about dude...
okay, em dudes, (liking the early nineties speak, good to see that some are still 'keeping it real'. Wicked (by the way, I have still found myself saying 'WICKED' at particular joyous occasions, and then I remember to say, 'oh thats marvellous, excellent, excellent')).
Anyway, I was thinking of a riverboat thing. You know how it is, drinking and sailing, always good companions. Obviously this is without looking at dates and stuff, but if this was a goer, then the further into summer would be better, to get good weather.
yes or no? cake or death? etc.
apologies king, I have re-read the original post and see that you have a general format figured out and indeed was asking about availability.
I am pretty free for any dates between mid April to mid June, which seems to be okay for this thing.
WICKED!
Alternative suggestions are also welcome Loz; I don't see why we couldn't combine stuff - it's all a bit airy fiary at the moment.
So how does 31st May/1st June sound for everyone? Any objections?

Yep (obviously from above).

yep, no problem.
I'd need to get special dispensation from my mum because her birthday is on the first of June.
I don't have anything else booked for the other weekends that I can't move at the mo though.
Also, my vote goes for coasteering because it looks bonkers and the one time I was meant to go, the bloody thing got cancelled:

No. You'd get bored of all the shopping talk anyway.
31st may provisionally good for me too.
A barge / longboat holiday is an amazing idea. I vote for that.
We would need to source a bit of rope and a big rubber tube so we can pull the stag along.
He may suggest that we tie the rope to his surfboard but we must resist that suggestion on grounds that he would not look silly enough.
The rest of us of course are free to try barge-surfing.
barge + beer + rubber ring shenanigans sounds like fun/a trip to a&e waiting to happen.
Excellent plan.

OI - Im allowed to be impatient. And as it seems, you've played your 'geographically challenged' card again eh! Well suit yourselves then *sniff* I'll just have to make an appearance at the wedding then! AHA! Am currently looking into the logistics of the whole thing! I hear all the places are getting booked up fast in Devonshire! Where's everyone staying?
The majority are staying at the hotel where the wedding is taking place (it's all booked up now I think) but some are around in the general vicinity...there's not a over abundance of accommodation in the area.
Hmm, file that under 'Not overly helpful'

So what's the ploy then?
another completely up-in-the-air-idea from me.
hop to belfast (yes hop), get an apartment, sleep on the floor, crawl round the pubs. also on the floor..
i haven't looked into details, but i'm sure it's prohibitively expensive. apologies in advance.
Uh...yeah sorry.
I have:
Me
Tart
Jon
Noj
Sam
Loz
Doo
Pete
Danny
I Have no word on Woz or Mango. Anyone I've missed?
So that's around 9-12 people.
As I sai before I wanted to keep it relatively simple; do something active, have a blow-out meal and then retire for late-night game-age.
As for active I've tried out
Go Ape and it was fun without being overly strenuous or scary (in fact at all strenuous or scary) and they are all over so this is good.
Food I guess we can get wherever we are.
What I really need is a venue for crashing/playing games. Any suggestions are welcome I was thinking about a large tent-type thing with cushions/bean bags and a projector...we'd just need a big enough garden. And power.
Anyway that is where my thoughts are at the mo. Abuse welcome.
Along the lines of an activity out and about I heard something about 'spy games' or something similarly named which could be quite comedy.
I still reckon a canal boat weekend would be awsome and inexpensive. Saw a deal where we can get a 10 bearth 65ft boat for around £100 each from Friday 30th May till Monday. Putter down the river stopping at pubs and fields. Throwing the Stag in the Canal or dragging him behind on a rubber ring...
It would be ideal. =)

PS - I just scrolled down the page and realised the sort of thing these guys are selling. Sorry - I withdraw the suggestion forthwith but am leaving it up for ideas anyway. Toodles!

Looks good. It gets my vote.
OK News:
We have 10 people confirmed (Me, Tart, Jon, Noj, Sam, Loz, Doo, Pete, Danny & Woz). I've sent a reservation request for a 69 ft barge that sleeps 12 (10 beds) and leaves from Oxford...
BargeWe'd have to pick up between 3pm and 4pm on Friday 30th and drop off at 9.30 am on Monday (no earlier unless we ask in writing).
Costs £970 + £45 (insurance) + 1.75% credit card fee (£17) (which is £115 each not including Tart). They want paying now pretty much.
So there.
Any objections let me know...preferably before I pay any money.
There's also the distinct possibility that we may have to pay a £100 refundable deposit each. This is at the boat yard's discretion but as we're an all male group of 27 year olds I reckon they'll be keen on the idea.
Oxford Canal
Ok, count me in. Shout when you want moolah.
Ahoy, hoy! I'm in too.
I can send money via t'internet kingsly, if required. we'll just need to swap bank detail stuff.
King, email me your bank details and the £115 (or £215 with deposit) will be on its way.

Well I've confirmed the booking and given my Credit cards details.
When I get confirmation I'll e-mail everyone my details and you can settle up how you like: I won't need the money immediately (as it's a credit card) but some time in the next month or so.
Further updates/info when I get it.
It's on like Donkey Kong.

I was going to take a half day, so I could wander up for around 1.30 or so if you wanted to meet up somewhere.
Here (finally) is some of the bumf I received from Anglo Welsh including details of the boatyard and a guide to friendly boating.
